# Tools

> Every tool the NeetoEngage MCP server exposes, grouped by resource.

You do not need these names to use the server. Ask in plain language and the assistant picks the right tool. The list is here for when you want to know exactly what a connection can do. Most tools match a [REST API](/api/introduction) endpoint and link to its reference.

Every tool takes an optional `workspace` argument, the subdomain of a connected workspace. Left out, it runs against the workspace the connection was set up with. `ListWorkspaces` reports the values you can pass.

Over [OAuth](/mcp/authentication#oauth-scoped-to-you), notes and comments are signed with the name of the person who approved the connection; over an [API key](/mcp/authentication#api-key-scoped-to-the-workspace), with the name of the workspace's oldest team member. A tool that creates or updates is refused when the connection was not granted the **Create and update** permission.

## Workspaces

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| `ListWorkspaces` | Lists the workspaces this connection can reach, with the subdomain to pass as the `workspace` argument of other tools. |

`ListWorkspaces` has no REST endpoint, which is why it is not linked.

## Feature requests

A feature request is an idea customers vote for. It sits in one track at a time. The title, the description, and public comments are visible to everyone on the public roadmap. Notes are private to the team.

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| [`SearchFeatureRequests`](/api/feature-requests/search) | Searches the public feature requests by title, description, and tags, ranked by relevance and votes. Returns at most 15 requests, each with its admin URL, track, and vote count. |
| [`CreateFeatureRequest`](/api/feature-requests/create) | Creates a feature request on behalf of a customer. The customer becomes its first voter and the note is attached as a private team note. The title and description are shown publicly. |
| [`AddFeatureRequestVoter`](/api/feature-requests/add-voter) | Adds a customer as a voter on an existing feature request and attaches the note as a private team note. A customer who already voted keeps one vote. |
| [`ListFeatureRequestVoters`](/api/feature-requests/list-voters) | Lists the customers who voted for a feature request, newest vote first. |
| [`MoveFeatureRequest`](/api/feature-requests/move) | Moves a feature request to another track. Can also attach a changelog and email a status update to every voter. |
| [`CreateFeatureRequestComment`](/api/feature-requests/create-comment) | Posts a public comment on a feature request. Can also email the comment to every voter. |

Feature requests are addressed by ID or by the slug at the end of their admin URL, such as `42-dark-mode`.

## Votes

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| [`ListCustomerVotes`](/api/votes/list) | Lists the feature requests a customer voted for, by email address, newest request first. |

## Tracks

Tracks are the columns of the feature request board. A track can map to a lane on the public roadmap.

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| [`ListTracks`](/api/tracks/list) | Lists the tracks in board order, with the public roadmap lane each one shows in. Use it to find the track ID that `MoveFeatureRequest` needs. |

## Changelogs

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| [`ListChangelogs`](/api/changelogs/list) | Lists the changelogs that are not archived, newest first, optionally filtered by title. Use it to find the changelog ID that `MoveFeatureRequest` attaches. |

## Settings

The workspace holds the name of the product it is for and the URL of the product's website.

| Tool | What it does |
| - | - |
| [`GetSettings`](/api/settings/get) | Gets the product name and website URL of the workspace. |
| [`UpdateSettings`](/api/settings/update) | Updates the product name, the website URL, or both. Only the fields passed change. |
